Louisiana Personal Injury Attorneys Committed to Advocating on Your Behalf
A proud native of St. Landry Parish, Raven C. Boxie was born and raised in Opelousas, Louisiana. Deeply rooted in her community, Raven has built her legal career on a commitment to serving and advocating for the people of Acadiana.
Raven graduated from Port Barre High School in 2007 before earning her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Law from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2011, laying the foundation for her future in the legal profession.
In 2012, Raven began her legal studies at Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge. During law school, she gained valuable experience working as a certified pharmacy technician while serving as a law intern with the St. Landry Parish District Attorney’s Office. She earned her Juris Doctor in May 2015.
Following graduation, Raven served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Alonzo Harris in the 27th Judicial District Court and later for the Honorable George Metoyer in the 9th Judicial District Court. These clerkships provided her with invaluable insight into courtroom procedure, judicial decision-making, and litigation strategy.
Raven began her legal career as a Family Law Staff Attorney with Acadiana Legal Services in 2019, representing clients in matters involving divorce, child custody, spousal support, and community property. Driven by her passion for advocacy and her desire to give a voice to those in need, she later returned to St. Landry Parish to serve the community she proudly calls home.
Today, Raven is an Associate Attorney at Doran & Cawthorne, P.L.L.C., where she has practiced personal injury and criminal defense since 2020. She is known for her compassionate approach, strong advocacy, and dedication to achieving meaningful results for her clients.
Raven is licensed to practice in all Louisiana state courts and in the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. She is an active member of the Louisiana Association for Justice (Automobile Torts Section), the Lafayette Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. In 2023, she was honored as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers, an accolade awarded to only 2.5% of attorneys in Louisiana for excellence in practice and professional achievement.
2026 Acadiana Top Lawyer Nomination for Criminal Defense Non White-Collar
She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Outside of her legal career, Raven’s greatest pride is being a mother to her daughter, Brynn Tanner. She remains grounded in her purpose and committed to building a legacy that inspires others to keep moving forward. As she often reminds herself and others: “She is who she is becoming.”
