Treslyn Davenport was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Treslyn is a graduate of St. Mary’s Dominican High School. She obtained her Bachelor of Art in Political Science, Pre-Law with a minor in Sociology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in May 2020, graduating Magna Cum Laude. While enrolled at UL-Lafayette, Treslyn was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, a Peer Mentor, and a member of UL Law Society where she served as Secretary, Vice President, and President. Treslyn is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Treslyn furthered her education by enrolling into Southern University Law Center in August 2020, where she was involved in several organizations including the Board of Student Advisors, the Black Law Students Association, and the Tureaud Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity, Intl. Treslyn also served as a research assistant.
While earning her J.D., Treslyn worked as a law clerk at a personal injury law firm in New Orleans and a personal injury law firm in Baton Rouge. She also received her mediation certification with the Coastal Mediation Center. Treslyn obtained her Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in May 2023, where she graduated Cum Laude and in the top 20% of her class.
Treslyn became licensed and admitted to practice law in the State of Louisiana in October 2023, and is also a Louisiana licensed notary.
