Jeremy G. Jason was born and raised in Opelousas, Louisiana. He graduated from Opelousas High School in 2015. He received his Bachelor of Art in Political Science with a concentration in Law and Legal Systems and a minor in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in May of 2019. During his time at LSU he served in roles with the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), the Black Student Union (BSU), and The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). He helped organize events such as A Walk for Education through NSBE which aimed to spread awareness for opportunities to pursue higher education in less fortunate communities.
He continued his education at The Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University and received his Juris Doctorate and Diploma in Comparative Law in May of 2022. During his time at the LSU Law Center he was involved in several organizations including the National Black Law Students Association (BLSA) where he served as Vice President, the Sports, Entertainment, and Media Law Society, and the Public Interest Law Society (PILS).
Before joining Doran and Cawthorne, Jeremy clerked at the 27TH Judicial District Courthouse in Opelousas from August of 2022 to August of 2024. Jeremy became licensed to practice law in the State of Louisiana in October of 2023, and is an active Louisiana licensed notary.
